Best Managed IT Providers in Austin (2026)
Austin has more than 80 managed service providers. Most are competent. The differences that matter are focus, the size of client they serve well, how deep their security practice actually goes, and whether an engineer can reach your office. We compare six providers, including ourselves, against those four criteria.
Yes, we are on this list. We wrote it, and we would rather be judged on stated criteria than adjectives. Where a competitor is the better fit, we say so.

How Should You Actually Choose?
Ignore the awards badges. Ask every candidate these four questions and compare the numbers.
01
What is your average first-response time, in writing?
If it is not a contractual commitment, it is a marketing number. Ours is 15 minutes, in the agreement.
02
Who answers the phone at 2 AM?
An overseas NOC reading a script, or an engineer with access to your documentation? Ask for the escalation path by name.
03
What happens when we leave?
Offboarding terms reveal more than onboarding promises. Documentation handover should be free and written into the contract.
04
Show me a compliance audit you passed with a client.
Anyone can list HIPAA on a services page. Evidence of a passed audit is the only proof that matters.
